Sleep Boot Camp: Night 2

So far only 12 mins of crying and then 36 mins of just sitting or standing there quietly. Then she flopped down and went to sleep. I guess that is a good sign, I only hope she wasn't in a comatose state thinking I have abandoned her and she was oh so very alone! Poor thing. A little needier than usual, but still pretty happy (when she wasn't exhausted). Pretty much have been up since about 5:30 - 6:00. My little lark!

Napping was pretty much a disaster, so we are going to play that one by ear. I need the girl to sleep during the day! Plus we are so off track with our "normal routine" that I am not sure. And I don't know if she is trying to transition down from one to two naps. We'll see. I am going to try to be consistent, but not work myself up over that. Nighttime is our start.

So that is the update. Really hoping to get this all settled soon so I can get my evenings back and maybe do some yoga or T-Tapp. I am dreadfully and pathetically out of shape (literally)! Plus I really need to get cracking on the studying, since I am taking a personal day for me. Am reading a new book I got at the La Leche League meeting today and I want to dive right in. More on that later. The meeting was great and I think I have a new mom friend and a study partner for the exam (not the same person). So that was awesome. Yay for me! I love my playgroups, but really missed the babywearing, breastfeeding community. My god, I am crunchier than granola! Seriously, who would've ever thought?!?

Now I need to post some pics on my baby's blog or my family is going to hunt me down and lynch me!

You probably know who it is - no, not you ya turd!

I know the sleep training is hard (do i?) but you can do it. And she knows that her mom and dad love her and are not abandoning her - just think, one day, you will be yelling at her because she sleeps too much... although you have to wait probably about 14 years for that! ;-)
